Large model update: More set design for main game

Image
Set design and other objects I've made quite a few more models for the main, non VR, game, this is mostly background design to make the levels more interesting for the player to look at as they play the game. Scenery: Town and trees The BaB game is a distance based game where the player wants to see how far they can travel with their custom made bird, the landscape will change as the player travels longer distances, this means the landscape will go from thick forests to small towns to more open areas. This gives the player a visual representation of travelling instead of just a distance score. New models include: Street Lamp car Road Short building Wide Building Tall Building New trees and rocks A rock pile A pile of rocks

Large model update: VR landscape and props

VR landscape props Once the main 6 birds had been made the next task was to create props and other objects. Hoops We found that players enjoyed the idea of a time trial style game in the VR version so a set of simple hoops were made that the player could travel through, this little mini game seemed to help with the motion sickness that some people were getting as their focus was more on the hoops than the landscape around them. Nest and Egg game Another mini game in the VR version is a simple pickup and drop game where the player will fly into the egg models, pick them up, and then drop them into the nest, if the player misses then the eggs will switch to the broken model. Lakeside The landscape was still a little barren so we used a program that could generate a landscape, then polygonate it, the landscape had the perfect section to have a lake so I worked on creating some objects for a dock.
